England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The event will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
