The UK is ready to advance with utilizing the entire amount of immobilized Russia's assets to aid Ukraine's military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the leaders of the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be executed in strong partnership with the US.

British sanctions have blocked more than £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow launched its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, until now, funds allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had exclusively been drawn from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, France, and Germany were united in their aim to advance efforts toward employing the total worth of the immobilized Russia's state holdings to end the war.

He added that more restrictions over the next period would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This statement comes after European Union leaders met in the Danish capital previously to debate utilizing seized Russia's holdings for a 140-billion-euro loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, President Donald Trump encouraged Group of Seven partners to confiscate or utilize immobilized Russian funds, according to news outlets.

The worth of immobilized Russia's funds in the Europe is assessed to be approximately €211bn.

President Zelensky calls on Britain's Sir Keir Starmer to participate in the weapons procurement initiative

Moscow launched large-scale aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on that day, causing power cuts in significant regions of Kyiv, the city, and eight other regions.
